New Business

• Jim Brink has resigned, Dave Solomon will be voted on as the new cold metals area host.
• Sam Paris Woodshop Area Host
  • "I'm among the walking wounded, but at least I'm walking"
  • Other woodshop volunteers have been "kicking butt" and carrying the load well in Sam's absence.
  • Couple of concerns:
    • How Much money is in my budget? I know what I've spent but not sure about others.
      • Jennie will send it over to him, $420 has been spent by others
    • Wants to reduce the amount of sawdust and clutter in the woodshop
      • "There is the carrot and the stick, I prefer to use the carrot"
      • Want to buy a few things to make it easier to clean out shopvacs and dust collector and filters.
      • Work some on education on cleaning things out and woodshop best practices
        • Make it more obvious what the "right thing" is.
  • Drum Sander Vote
    • "I think the unit I chose can take a little abuse"
    • Wingate asks: "What does it take to replace the papers"
    • Not too much different, but Sam has some ideas on how to make this easier.
    • Conversation went on about Belt Sander problems for a while.
  • Sam would like to get a computer and monitor in the woodshop somewhere so people can look up instructions and manuals and the like.
    • James proposes this could be a small fanless machine, but asks where should it go?
      • Good questions, should be discussed.
    • Tim Proposes a QR code with links to resources put prominently on the machine.
• Jennie will be putting out another newsletter with the help of the robot overlords.
  • If anyone has anything they'd like to see in it, please send along.
