How can the noisemaker vote pass with only 13 yes votes? --Rdpierce (talk) 15:06, 3 November 2015 (CST)
- I should get hte proxy count from Brian. I recorded the counts from in person. Skm (talk) 15:09, 3 November 2015 (CST)
- According to the meeting notes, 41 members were present for the votes that night, including proxies. That would mean quorum was met. I was wondering if the actual vote numbers recorded were correctly though. It seemed a bit incomplete to me. Justin (talk) 16:37, 3 November 2015 (CST)
- According to the Bylaws, due to a quirk (that the MWE lawyers are supposed to help fix), votes of Abstain effectively count against a proposal. If 41 were present, there must be >= 21 Yes votes or it doesn't pass. Now after amending the Bylaws, it only takes quorum & yes > no. --Rdpierce (talk) 21:28, 3 November 2015 (CST)
