• Gen Ops
  • Fire inspector came in to do an inspection
    • Learned via Slack
    • No infractions other then dead soldier fire extinguisher
    • Card was left behind, asked for someone from the board to get in touch.
  • HVAC News
    • All heat seems to be working
  • Gary has been doing some storage work, including getting prepped to add locks to member storage cabinets
    • Joe brings up that this seems like a really bad idea.
    • Jesse wonders why we would do this?
    • James wants us to investigate the legal requirements of this, we might need to follow the additional laws of storage units.
    • Tim brings up a thought experiment of who is responsible for this?
    • Jesse makes an aside that you can buy lock boxes for inside fridges. Joe and James thinks that is hilarious.
    • Board decides to ask Gary not to do this.

• Treasury
  • James made a wiki page to reduce treasury work, it includes the estimated information about remaining Area Host Balance.
  • The page can be found at Budget Balance
  • Hot Metals is running out of budget, there will be a vote run by the Hot Metals Area Host to increase the budget.
  • He spent about $1,500 trying to fix the plasma cutter. It didn't work.
    • Treasury is beginning to encourage him to stop throwing money at this, and instead improve.

• Donzell and Maxwell would like to do an event in the second week of February
  • The event would be about highlighting black creators in the space
  • Urban league will do some advertising for the event.
• Maxwell shared his experience with being a minority in the space, and how we could improve it.

  • The art in the space is not representative of black culture, and we should make the
